A Kentucky Statement of Effect Apostle is a certificate issued by the Kentucky Secretary of State’s office that authenticates the signature of a notary public or other public official. The apostle certifies that the signature of the public official on the document is genuine and that the document is valid and in compliance with Kentucky law. There are two types of Kentucky Statement of Effect Apostle: one for documents originating in Kentucky, and one for documents originating outside of Kentucky. Documents originating in Kentucky require an “Original Signatureapostleille, while documents originating outside of Kentucky require an “Authenticated Signatureapostleille. Both types of apostle must be signed by the Kentucky Secretary of State or their authorized agent.
