A Kentucky Writ of Execution to the United States Marshal is a judicial order from a court of competent jurisdiction in the Commonwealth of Kentucky that authorizes the US Marshal to enforce a judgment against a debtor. This writ is issued to the US Marshal to enforce a money judgment or other civil judgment against any person or property within the US Marshal’s jurisdiction. There are two different types of Kentucky Writ of Execution to the United States Marshal: a Writ of Execution and a Writ of Fair Facial. The Writ of Execution requires the Marshal to seize and sell a judgment debtor’s assets to satisfy a court judgment. A Writ of Fair Facial requires the Marshal to seize and sell a judgment debtor’s personal property for the payment of a court judgment. Both writs are issued by the clerk of the court and require the US Marshal to take whatever action is necessary to enforce the court’s judgment.
