Kentucky Transcript Order is a service provided by the Kentucky Department of Education that allows students and alumni to request and receive official transcripts of their academic records from the Kentucky state education system. Transcripts may be requested for all levels of education, including elementary, middle, and high school, as well as postsecondary and continuing education. There are two types of Kentucky Transcript Orders: Official and Unofficial. Official Transcripts are the most comprehensive and secure documents, and must include all courses taken, grades received, and any other academic information from the student's school records. Unofficial Transcripts are less detailed, but can still be used for many purposes, such as applying for scholarships, providing proof of enrollment or graduation, or to maintain a personal copy of academic records.
