Indiana Judgment in a Criminal Case (for Organizational Defendants) is the official, formal court ruling that is issued by an Indiana court when an organization is found guilty of a criminal offense. Indiana Judgment in a Criminal Case (for Organizational Defendants) may include fines, restitution, court costs, probation, and/or other requirements. Depending on the severity of the case, the judgment may also include a sentence of incarceration or dissolution of the business. There are two types of Indiana Judgment in a Criminal Case (for Organizational Defendants): Guilty Pleas and Bench Trials/Jury Trials. A Guilty Plea is when an organization admits guilt and accepts the terms of the court’s judgment. A Bench Trial/Jury Trial is when the court hears both sides of the case and makes a decision based on the evidence presented.
