An Illinois Order for Body Attachment is a court order issued by an Illinois court to have a person arrested for failing to appear in court or to pay a debt. This order allows a creditor or other party to have the person arrested and brought to court to answer for their actions. There are two types of Illinois Order for Body Attachment: personal and garnishment. A personal order requires the debtor to personally appear in court while a garnishment order requires the debtor's wages or other assets to be garnished in order to pay the creditor. Both types of orders are legally binding and failure to comply can result in additional penalties.
