Hawaii Return of Service (ROS) is a service provided by the Hawaiian state government to help members of the military transition back to civilian life. It includes a variety of services such as career counseling, job search assistance, resume workshops, and job fairs. It also offers financial assistance, such as rent subsidies, tuition and fee waivers, and other aid programs. There are three main types of Hawaii Return of Service: the Hawaii Return of Service–Active Duty, the Hawaii Return of Service–Reserve Component, and the Hawaii Return of Service–Veterans. The Hawaii Return of Service–Active Duty program provides career counseling, job search assistance, resume workshops, and job fairs to active duty service members. The Hawaii Return of Service–Reserve Component program assists reservists and National Guard members with transitioning back to civilian life. The Hawaii Return of Service–Veterans program assists veterans and their families with the transition back to civilian life.
