The District of Columbia Statement of Abandonment of A Plan of Domestication of Domestic and Foreign is a document filed with the District of Columbia Superior Court to declare the abandonment of a plan of domestication of domestic and foreign entities. The statement is used to discontinue a plan of domestication, which is the process of a foreign entity, such as a corporation, becoming incorporated in the District of Columbia. The statement must be signed by the individual or entity filing the abandonment and must include the name of the person or entity filing the abandonment, the name of the foreign entity which is the subject of the domestication, the number of shares of the foreign entity, and the date of the abandonment. There are two types of District of Columbia Statement of Abandonment of A Plan of Domestication of Domestic and Foreign: the original Statement of Abandonment and the Amended Statement of Abandonment. The original Statement of Abandonment is filed when the individual or entity is discontinuing the domestication process. The Amended Statement of Abandonment is filed when an error has been made on the original Statement of Abandonment or when the individual or entity wishes to make a correction to the information on the Statement of Abandonment.
