A District of Columbia Statement of Dissociation For Domestic General Partnership is a document filed with the District of Columbia Corporations Division (D.C.C.D.) by a domestic limited partnership in order to dissolve the partnership. A domestic partnership is a partnership formed within the District of Columbia and registered with the D.C.C.D. The District of Columbia Statement of Dissociation For Domestic General Partnership must be signed by all partners of the domestic limited partnership and must include the name of the partnership, the date of the partnership’s formation, the date of its dissolution, the date of the filing of the statement of dissociation, and the signature of all partners. There are two types of District of Columbia Statement of Dissociation For Domestic General Partnership: a Standard Form for Dissociation and a Limited Form for Dissociation. The Standard Form for Dissociation is used when all partners of the domestic partnership agree with the dissolution, whereas the Limited Form for Dissociation is used when one or more of the partners does not agree to the dissolution. Both forms must be filed with the D.C.C.D. in order for the dissolution to be legally effective.
