California Live Scan Service Request (Company Officers Directors Others) is a service provided by the California Department of Justice (DOJ) to obtain criminal background checks for individuals applying for, or currently employed in, positions of authority within companies, public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and other professional entities. Live Scan requests are typically used for pre-employment/promotion screening, licensing, certification, adoption, or other similar purposes. The three types of California Live Scan Service Requests available are: 1. Company Officers/Directors: This request is for individuals who are employed as officers or directors of a business entity. This request includes a full criminal background check that is conducted by the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. 2. Other Personnel: This request is for individuals who are employed in a capacity other than as an officer or director of a business entity. This request includes a full criminal background check that is conducted by the California Department of Justice. 3. Volunteers: This request is for individuals who are volunteering their services to a business entity or organization. This request includes a full criminal background check that is conducted by the California Department of Justice.
