Alaska Adoption Consent (Parent/Spouse/Guardian) is a legal document that must be signed by the parent(s), spouse, or guardian of a child in order for an adoption to be finalized in the state of Alaska. This document will provide consent for the adoption and allow the child to become a legal part of the adoptive family. There are three types of Alaska Adoption Consent (Parent/Spouse/Guardian): Parental Consent, Spousal Consent, and Guardian Consent. Parental Consent is required if the child is under the age of 18 and the biological parent(s) wish to consent to the adoption. Spousal Consent is required if the child is under the age of 18 and the child’s biological parent(s) are married. Guardian Consent is required if the child is under the age of 18 and the child’s biological parent(s) are not able to provide consent due to death or other circumstances.
