Alaska Adoption Consent (Child 10 or Older) is the legal process of obtaining consent from a child aged 10 or older to be adopted in the state of Alaska. There are two types of Alaska Adoption Consent: 1) Consent for Adoption of a Child 10 or Older by a Stepparent, and 2) Consent for Adoption of a Child 10 or Older by Someone Other than a Stepparent. In both cases, the child must be 10 years or older in order to sign a consent form. The consent form must be witnessed by two people, and the child must be given an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the adoption with an attorney. Once the consent form is signed, the child's adoption can proceed.
