Alaska Order for Employer-Reported Wages from CSS is an order issued by the Child Support Services Division (CSS) of the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services. The order requires employers to withhold and report wages to CSS for child support and/or medical support payments. The employer must send the withheld wages to CSS on a regular basis, which is usually once a month. There are two types of Alaska Order for Employer-Reported Wages from CSS: • Wage Withholding Order: This order requires employers to withhold wages from the employee’s paycheck and send the withheld wages directly to CSS. • Wage Reporting Order: This order requires employers to report wages earned by the employee to CSS on a regular basis. The employer does not withhold the wages but simply reports the amount earned.
