You may be eligible to apply for permanent residence in Canada after you have had the following work experience under the Live-in Caregiver Program: 24 months of authorized full-time live-in employment, or. 3,900 hours of authorized full-time employment. You can complete these hours within a minimum of 22 months.
To become a caregiver in California, meet state requirements (work authorization, background check, good health), complete a Home Care Aide certification course and provide proof of vaccinations and a negative TB test.
To be eligible for any of the three caregiver benefits, you must be able to show that: your regular weekly earnings from work have decreased by more than 40%; and. you have accumulated 600 insured hours of work in the last 52 weeks, or since the start of your last claim (this period is called the qualifying period)
