The 28-day time-limit can be extended for two months for complex or numerous requests where the data controller (usually your practice) needs more time to collate and supply the data. You will be informed about this within 30 days and provided with an explanation of why the extension is necessary.
Organisations have one calendar month to respond to a SAR , starting from the day a SAR is submitted. If you receive a request on the last day of the month and the following month is shorter, a response must be made by the last day of the shorter month.
