Description

The Educational Assistance Program for Employees in Ohio is designed to support eligible employees in developing their skills through approved educational courses. This program specifically covers tuition and registration fees for accredited institutions, including colleges and technical schools, which relate directly to the employees' current jobs or planned career advancements. To qualify, employees must be full-time regular staff with at least one year of service. Reimbursement is based on the grade received, ranging from 100% for an 'A' to 0% for grades lower than 'C'. Employees must submit a tuition reimbursement form before the course starts and obtain written approval from their supervisor and HR. After course completion, an official transcript and proof of payment are required for reimbursement. Importantly, if an employee leaves the company within two years after receiving reimbursement, they must repay the amount back to the employer. This form is particularly useful for attorneys, partners, owners, associates, paralegals, and legal assistants who want to enhance their qualifications while ensuring they meet the employer’s criteria for educational support.
