An overall GPA of 3.0 or better on high school coursework. Solid performance on a strong college preparatory curriculum. Evidence of leadership and/or engagement during high school, such as participation in extracurricular activities, community service, work experience, or caregiving responsibilities.
Ohio State employees who wish to take undergraduate classes using their tuition benefit must either be enrolled through the Admissions Office (if degree seeking) or through Extended Education.
To be eligible, an employee must be employed in a benefits eligible position on the first day of the semester for which the benefit is applied. Employees are permitted to take up to eleven undergraduate hours or eight graduate hours per term with supervisory approval.

The Ohio State Tuition Guarantee applies to incoming first-year undergraduate students at each of Ohio State's campuses. Students who transfer to Ohio State will also join the guarantee program if they began their college career as a first-year student at another institution in autumn semester 2017 or later.
