Description

This form offers education assistance to employees under certain circumstances. Courses must be from approved institutions of learning, such as accredited colleges, universities, and technical colleges or schools that offer certification in a field approved by employer. Also, the courses must be, in employer's opinion, directly or reasonably related to employee's present job or part of a degree program, or in line with a position that employer believes employee can reasonably achieve. If employee shall leave the employment of employer for any reason, within two years of any reimbursement, employee shall immediately repay all reimbursements back to employer.

The tuition waiver benefit for a child of an employee attending the University of Illinois provides the following benefits and has the following limitations: A 50 percent tuition waiver, excluding fees, for up to four years, each year consisting of two semesters and one summer term.

The Illinois Department of Revenue also offers tuition reimbursement, day care, and training opportunities.

Child of Employee Tuition Waivers. The Inter-institutional 50% tuition waiver for children of public university employees provides for a 50% tuition waiver (not including fees) for up to 4 years of waivers for undergraduate education (excluding non-credit & graduate/professional academic programs or certifications).

Employee Tuition Benefit Outside the University pays 75% of undergraduate tuition for you at any accredited college or university up to $2,000 per calendar year and $26,000 lifetime. Employee Child Tuition Benefit pays 50% of undergraduate tuition for your Dependent Children at the University of Chicago.

Similar to federal law, state law provides that contributions made to a qualified tuition program are not deductible.
