The Tarrant County Lease Incentive Program (LIP) is designed for new moves, to provide assistance for security deposits, application fees, hotel/motel charges (see below) and hard to house fees to Tarrant County renters outside the cities of Arlington and Fort Worth who have been directly impacted by COVID-19.
To qualify for our program you must place your name on our waiting list and meet HUD income eligibility requirements. The wait may be up to 24 months, depending on our funding levels.
Section 8 Waiting List is currently closed at this time.
There is no fast way. However, if the section 8 wait list is open go ahead and apply for it and hud housing. The good news, is that having a child and being disabled will put you higher list. You should check to see if there is a rapid rehousing program in your area.
FWHS is not currently accepting Wait List applications. We encourage you to visit our Properties page and contact one of our affordable Fort Worth communities directly to determine whether you may qualify for reduced rent based on income.
