FAQ

Your unsaved document has probably been turned into an AutoRecovered file automatically. When you open Word, its protocols prompt a search for AutoRecover files; closing then reopening Word will prompt the Auto Recover process to run.

Click the "File" tab in the upper left corner of your Word document. Select "Manage Document." Hit "Recover Unsaved Documents" from the drop-down menu. Check for your document in the dialogue box.

Go to File > Info > Manage Document > Recover Unsaved Documents.

If you haven't saved the document, you have to: Open Word and go for “File” -> “Info” -> “Manage Document” -> “Recover Unsaved Documents” Select the specific file and click "Open" In the top file bar, choose "Save As" to save the document.

Texts recovered from damaged Word or Rich Text documents are saved to a new file with a .docx extension – the latest file format supported by MS Word.

If you don't find the missing file in these locations, open Word, and select File > Info > Manage Document > Recover Unsaved Documents.

After death, the executor or the personal representative of the decedent must file or register the original will with the local county where the decedent resided. One has the option of mailing in the copy of the will and death certificate or going in person.

First, you'll submit the will to the deceased's local court. In Florida, you have to do this within ten days of the person's death. The court will then confirm that the will is valid. File for probate.

You can file the original will in person at any of our courthouse locations or by mail, to the attention of our probate division at P.O. Box 4667, West Palm Beach, FL 33402. You must include a certified copy of the death certificate, or other document that will confirm the date of death, when filing the will.

After death, the personal representative named in the decedent's Will (or the executor) must file or register the Will with the court. An estate attorney can also file the Will on behalf of the personal representative. However, the Will filed with the Court must be the original.
