In order to withdraw your admissions application, please fill out the form on Enrollment Connect by selecting Withdraw Your Application on the Application menu. If you are a current UM-Ann Arbor student and wish to withdraw your cross-campus application, please submit your withdrawal request to ecredentials@umich.
Applicants may submit two professional recommendations and one academic recommendation or two academic recommendations and one professional recommendation. While not as strong, we do accept personal recommendations. It is not recommended that applicants submit recommendations from family members or friends.
Letters Of Recommendation – As a first year student you are required to submit one letter of recommendation. As a transfer student you are not required to submit a letter of recommendation, but may choose to do so.
Note: recommendation letters may be submitted after the application deadline, but a final decision about your admittance to the program will not be determined until we receive a letter. If recommenders have any issues submitting their letters, please have them email semesterindetroit@umich.
Students generally don't submit their own letters of recommendation. Teachers, counselors and other recommenders usually send them in electronically via whichever application platform a student is using, such as the Common App.

AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF EDUCATIONAL RECORDS TO A THIRD PARTY. The college has one release form maintained through the Registrar's office that allows a student to designate a third party to be given information about the student's educational records. Access can be limited to certain documents or types of records.
Typically, this is what school officials, privacy advocates, and FERPA experts mean when they say “FERPA form” — documentation of signed consent for the release of student records that are protected under the law.
