Domestic and international students are encouraged to submit a complete transfer application as early as possible. Once an application is received — including all required supporting documents — it can take four to six weeks before receiving an admissions decision.
Your completed application will be reviewed. This process can take four to six weeks; however, it might take longer during peak times.
You can check the status of your admission decision in the Applicant Center or by contacting the department you applied to. For questions related to submitting admission documentation, contact the Office of Admission and Enrollment.
Letters of recommendation can be submitted with the application or separately by the professor/teacher or counselor/advisor. If a recommender is interested in sending a letter directly to our office, please email us at cometscholars@utdallas.
The University of Texas--Dallas has an acceptance rate of 65%. Half the applicants admitted to The University of Texas--Dallas who submitted test scores have an SAT score between 1170 and 1410 or an ACT score of 25 and 32.
Students who meet the Early Action deadline will receive a notification no later than January 15. Regular deadline applicants will receive a notification no later than February 15.
