Students generally don't submit their own letters of recommendation. Teachers, counselors and other recommenders usually send them in electronically via whichever application platform a student is using, such as the Common App.
Your recommenders must submit their letters through the recommender portal by the application deadline: Harvard Griffin GSAS does not accept letters submitted via email, mail, or a dossier service. During the application process, you will be asked whether you wish to waive your right to see these letters.
File Upload for Students Sign in to my.harvard. On the Student Home tab select Documents. In the Document Center section under Uploaded Documents, click Upload. Click Choose File, select the file, and click Open. Click Upload.
GPA requirements for Harvard At Harvard, the standard GPA is 4.18. (While some schools publish an unweighted GPA, most utilize a weighted GPA out of 4.0.) Harvard needs you to be at the top of your class with a GPA of 4.18. To compete with other applications, you'll need to receive almost all A's.
If a face-to-face conversation isn't an option, you can always ask for a letter of recommendation via email.
In addition to the application, all applicants are required to submit a transcript (which can be created by the family member or agency overseeing your schooling), and recommendations.

Restrictive Early Action candidates apply by November 1 and receive notification by mid-December. Regular Decision candidates apply by January 1 and receive notification by the end of March.
