Only those with an active Virgin Media broadband account in their name will be able to keep their Virgin Media email address. In order to reactivate the email, we would need to connect it to an active broadband account. If you don't have one, we won't be able to to help I'm afraid.
If you leave Virgin Media you will eventually lose access to your Virgin email address. Your email account will be closed 90 days after the date that your internet service is disconnected.
Virgin Media email address No more than 90 days after your Virgin Media broadband contract concludes, your email account will be deactivated, and all stored emails and contacts will be irretrievably deleted.
There might be attempts to persuade you to stay, but there's nothing to say you have to if you don't want to. To cancel, you can call Virgin Media on 0345 454 1111 or 150 from your Virgin Media telephone. Alternatively, you can request a cancellation through live chat.
Unlike providers who use the rival Openreach cable network, Virgin Media does not allow its six million broadband customers to cancel expired contracts online. Thirty days' notice is required before any switch, compared with the 14 days' notice required to switch Openreach providers.
Yes, when you cease to be a virgin media broadband customer any email accounts associated with it are closed down 90 days after the end of the contract. This is set out in the Terms & Conditions.

Broadband contract length Just so you know, most of our broadband deals come on standard 18-month contracts, or 24-month contracts. Exempt from this is our Essential broadband for low-income families, student broadband packages with flexible rolling contracts, and a few other deals.
You can check your contract status by asking your provider – over the phone or livechat – or by logging into your account online. You may also be able to find your contract end date via your provider's app (if you have downloaded it), by checking a bill, or looking through correspondence with your provider.
Realistically, the only way you will get anywhere here is to call VM and cancel. Cancel completely, you are outside of the minimum period and hence aren't subject to any early disconnection fees and only need to give the required 30 days' notice.
