The Pima County Vital Records Office issues copies of Arizona vital records including certified copies of Arizona birth certificates and Arizona death certificates for events that occurred within the county of Pima.
A Medical Examiner report is typically available 90 days after an investigation takes place. If you are requesting a report for a death that occurred more than three months prior to your request, the report is typically provided within 1-2 weeks of your report request submission.
Autopsy reports are open for public inspection unless they have been filed with the clerk of the district court and designated as a criminal investigation record.

Arizona is a "closed record" state. This means vital records are not public record and the confidentiality of citizens is protected under Arizona law restrictions on the public's access of vital records. A person must be 18 years of age or older to obtain a certified copy of a death certificate.
Consented post mortem examination results have to be requested from the hospital where the examination took place. Because the report is part of the medical record of the deceased you may have to complete a formal document requesting access to the Medical/Health Record to comply with the law on patient confidentiality.
