If more than one individual agrees to help support the sponsored immigrant, each individual must sign a separate Form I-864A.
You, the sponsor (petitioner), must complete Form I-864. You, the sponsor (petitioner), and the joint sponsor must complete Form I-864. See tips for completing Form I-864.
For ALL sponsors: A copy of your individual federal income tax return, including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statement and/or evidence describing why you were not required to file. Also include a copy of every Form 1099, schedule, and any other evidence of reported income.
Each household member or adult dependent must complete Form I-864A if they combine their income and/or assets with the joint sponsor's to meet the minimum annual income requirement. Both the household member/adult dependent and the joint sponsor must sign this form and attach it to the joint sponsor's Form I-864.

A joint sponsor is an individual that will sign a separate Affidavit of Support binding them to the same financial responsibilities described above as the primary sponsor, the individual petitioning for their family member. The primary sponsor and the joint sponsor will both be equally liable.
