This includes activities such as destroying evidence, hindering an investigation, influencing witness testimony, or lying to authorities. There are two types of Obstruction of Justice: Omnibus Clause: general obstruction and specific obstruction. General obstruction applies to any activity which could potentially interfere with justice or the administration of the law. Specific obstruction applies to activities which are specifically prohibited by law. Examples of specific obstruction include tampering with a jury, intimidating a witness, and obstructing a police investigation.
