Wisconsin Resignation of Registered Agent is a document used to officially terminate the relationship between a business entity and its registered agent in the state of Wisconsin. This document must be signed by the registered agent, and must be filed with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions. There are two types of Wisconsin Resignation of Registered Agent — voluntary resignation and involuntary resignation. A voluntary resignation is filed when the registered agent wishes to terminate their relationship with the business entity, while an involuntary resignation occurs when the business entity wishes to replace its registered agent. In either case, the Wisconsin Resignation of Registered Agent must be accompanied by a replacement registered agent form. This form must be completed and signed by the new registered agent.
