Washington Application to Reopen Crime Victim Claim Due to Worsening of Condition is an application that allows victims of crime who have previously filed a claim with the Washington State Crime Victims Compensation Program to reopen their claim due to a worsening of condition directly related to the crime. The application may be used to reopen a claim if the victim has sustained new medical expenses, incurred lost wages, or is seeking other services related to the crime that the victim was not aware of at the time the original claim was filed. There are two types of Washington Application to Reopen Crime Victim Claim Due to Worsening of Condition: One is for victims of a crime that occurred prior to July 1, 2019; and the other is for victims of a crime that occurred on or after July 1, 2019.
