Washington Order Modifying/Terminating Sexual Assault Protection Order (ORM TSP) is a court order issued by a Washington state court that modifies or terminates protection orders issued in cases of sexual assault. It provides protection and safety for victims of sexual assault by limiting contact between the assailant and the victim. There are two types of Grasps: Modifying Order and Terminating Order. A Modifying Order modifies an existing protection order by changing the conditions of the order, such as extending the duration or restricting the ability of the assailant to contact the victim. A Terminating Order terminates an existing protection order, allowing the assailant to contact the victim. The court may also order other conditions, such as the payment of restitution or counseling. Both orders require a hearing before a judge, and the victim must be present to testify.
