Washington Order On Renewal of Order For Protection is a legal document that is issued by the courts in the state of Washington to extend or renew a previously issued Order for Protection (OF). This document can be issued to protect the petitioner from harm or abuse from the respondent. There are two types of Washington Order On Renewal of Order For Protection: temporary and permanent. A temporary Order can be issued for a period of up to one year and a permanent Order can extend for a longer period of time. The Order will set forth the exact conditions of protection for the petitioner, including but not limited to, restraining the respondent from physical contact or communication with the petitioner, ordering the respondent to stay away from the petitioner’s residence, workplace, or school, and prohibiting the respondent from owning or possessing a firearm.
