A Washington Civil Bench Warrant is an order issued by a judge in the state of Washington for a person to appear in court and answer to a civil complaint. This type of warrant can be issued if a party fails to appear for any scheduled hearings or does not comply with a court order. There are two types of Washington Civil Bench Warrants: an attachment of body warrant and an attachment of property warrant. An attachment of body warrant orders law enforcement to take the person into custody and bring them to court, while an attachment of property warrant allows law enforcement to seize the person’s property to be used as security for the court case. Both types of warrants are enforceable throughout the state of Washington.
