Washington Small Claims Appeals — Kent is a court process for appealing a small claims court judgment in the state of Washington. It is a civil process in which a person or business can appeal a decision made by a small claims court judge. The appeals process is conducted in the Superior Court of Washington — Kent. There are two types of Washington Small Claims Appeals — Kent: Appeal by Right and Discretionary Appeal. An Appeal by Right is an appeal from a small claims court judgment that can be made without leave of the court, and is based on errors of law. A Discretionary Appeal is an appeal from a small claims court judgment that requires leave of the court, and is based on errors of fact.
