A Washington Courtesy Notice is a document used to inform individuals when their driver's license has been suspended or revoked. It is sent to drivers by the Washington Department of Licensing (DOL). There are three types of Washington Courtesy Notices: Suspension Notice, Reinstatement Notice, and Revocation Notice. The Suspension Notice informs the driver that their license is suspended, the Reinstatement Notice informs the driver that their license has been reinstated, and the Revocation Notice informs the driver that their license has been permanently revoked. All three of these notices are accompanied by a list of the driver’s rights and any required steps to take in order to reinstate their license.
