Vermont Transcript Redaction Request is a process in which an individual can request to have their personal information redacted from a transcript issued by the Vermont Department of Education. This includes the student’s name, date of birth, address, and Social Security number. There are two types of redaction requests: 1) Immediate Redaction Request, which is a one-time request to have the information redacted from the transcript immediately, and 2) Permanent Redaction Request, which is a request to have the student’s information redacted from all future transcripts. In both cases, the individual must provide proof of identity and file the request with the Vermont Department of Education. Once the request has been approved, the redacted information will not be included in the transcript.
