Utah Voluntary Termination Instruction (CTI) is a legal document that is used to terminate the rights of parents in Utah. Otis are used to voluntarily terminate parental rights, which may be done for a variety of reasons, including adoption, guardianship, and other court orders. There are two types of Utah CTI: an Adoption CTI and a Guardianship CTI. An Adoption CTI is used to terminate parental rights for the purpose of adoption. A Guardianship CTI is used to terminate parental rights for the purpose of appointing a guardian for a child. Both types of CTI require the parent's signature and the signature of a witness, as well as proof of notification to the other parent.
