Utah Reckless as to Circumstances of Conduct is a criminal charge defined in the Utah Code § 76-5-106. It states that an individual can be charged with this offense if they have acted with “recklessnescircumstanceseFNGng the conduct”. This charge is considered a class B misdemeanor and carries a possible sentence of up to six months in jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000. There are different types of Utah Reckless as to Circumstances of Conduct, each with their own potential penalties. These include: Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, Reckless Burning, and Reckless Boating. Each of these offenses requires individuals to have acted with carelessness or disregard for the safety of others or their property. Penalties for these offenses can range from a simple fine to a year in jail or both.
