It also applies to any parts or components of these vehicles. The law applies to anyone who knowingly receives, sells, or possesses a stolen vehicle, regardless of whether they are aware or unaware that the vehicle is stolen. It also applies to anyone who attempts or conspires to commit any of these activities. The penalty for violating 18 U.S.C. Sec. 2313 is a fine and/or imprisonment for up to five years.
