Abusive Sexual Contact 18 U.S.C. Sec. 2244(a)(3) is a federal law that defines and criminalizes a range of sexual offenses against victims without their consent. It includes non-consensual sexual contact, including contact for the purpose of sexual gratification, through the use of force, intimidation, or coercion. It also covers contact with intimate parts of the body, such as breasts, genitalia, and buttocks, as well as contact with the clothing covering the immediate area of those parts. This law also covers any contact between someone’s mouth or genitalia and another person’s body. The different types of Abusive Sexual Contact 18 U.S.C. Sec. 2244(a)(3) include: • Unwanted sexual contact: This includes unwanted touching, fondling, or groping of the victim’s intimate body parts or clothing covering those body parts. • Forced sexual contact: This involves the use of physical force or threats of physical force to compel a person to engage in sexual contact. • Coerced sexual contact: This type of contact involves the use of psychological or emotional pressure to get a person to engage in sexual contact. • Sexual contact with someone who is incapable of consent: This includes sexual contact with someone who is physically or mentally incapacitated, or someone who is a minor or an elderly person.
