South Carolina Plaintiff's Instructions — Decrease Child Support is a set of instructions created by the state of South Carolina to help a plaintiff (the person filing the petition) reduce a court-ordered child support payment. The instructions include the necessary steps to file a petition for a decrease in child support, the documents required to file the petition, and the forms needed to submit the petition to the court. There are two types of South Carolina Plaintiff's Instructions — Decrease Child Support: 1) an agreed-upon decrease in child support, which requires both parties to sign a written agreement; and 2) an uncontested decrease in child support, which requires only the plaintiff to file a petition with the court.
