The New York Child Support Worksheet (UD-8(3)) is a form used by New York State courts to calculate the amount of child support owed to the custodial parent for their child. The worksheet is used to determine the basic child support obligation, which is based on the combined adjusted gross income of both parents and the number of children involved. The worksheet also takes into account any special or extraordinary expenses for the child, such as medical and educational expenses, and any daycare expenses. The worksheet has three different versions, which are the UD-8(3), UD-8(3a) and UD-8(3b). The UD-8(3) is used when both parents have income, the UD-8(3a) is used when only one parent has income, and the UD-8(3b) is used when the parent with income is receiving public assistance.
