The New York Filing Statement of Authorization for Electronic Filing (Individual Attorney Authorizing Filing Agent) is a document used by an attorney to authorize a filing agent to electronically file on their behalf. This document is only applicable to attorneys filing in the New York State Unified Court System. It is used to allow the filing agent to electronically file documents with the court on the attorney’s behalf and to designate a contact person for the attorney. This document must be signed and dated by the attorney and filed with the court prior to the filing of documents. There are two types of New York Filing Statement of Authorization for Electronic Filing (Individual Attorney Authorizing Filing Agent): a one-time authorization and an annual authorization. The one-time authorization is used when a filing agent is authorized to file a one-time document or a set of documents. The annual authorization is used when a filing agent is authorized to file multiple documents over a period of time.
