Certificate of Service

A Nevada Certificate of Service is a document issued by the Nevada Secretary of State to confirm that a document was properly served in accordance with Nevada law. The Certificate is an important part of the legal process as it serves as proof that the requirements for service of legal process have been met. There are three types of Nevada Certificates of Service: by mail, personal delivery, and publication. A Certificate of Service by Mail can be used when documents are served by mail as long as the delivery address is within the state of Nevada. A Certificate of Service by Personal Delivery can be used when documents are served in person. A Certificate of Service by Publication can be used when documents are served by publishing a notice in a newspaper.
