The New Jersey Administration Questionnaire (NJ ASQ) is an online survey developed by the New Jersey Department of Education to assess the effectiveness of school administrators. This questionnaire is used to evaluate the job performance of public school administrators in the state of New Jersey. The NJ ASQ contains questions related to the administrator's roles and responsibilities, communication and collaboration, decision-making, management skills, and other related topics. The survey is composed of two components: the Principal Leadership Assessment (PLA) and the District Leadership Assessment (DLA). The PLA is designed to assess the effectiveness of the principal or assistant principal in a school, while the DLA is designed to evaluate the performance of district-level administrators such as superintendents and assistant superintendents. The results of the NJ ASQ are used to help improve the overall quality of school administration in New Jersey.
