The Nebraska Application For Transfer of Reserved Name is an online form used to reserve a business name for an LLC, Corporation, Limited Partnership, or Limited Liability Partnership. This application is used to transfer the reserved name to a new entity. There are two types of Nebraska Application For Transfer of Reserved Name: the Domestic Name Transfer Application and the Foreign Name Transfer Application. The Domestic Name Transfer Application is used to transfer the name of a Nebraska domestic entity to a new entity while the Foreign Name Transfer Application is used to transfer the name of an entity formed outside of Nebraska to a new entity. Both applications require the applicant to provide information such as the name of the entity, the name of the current owner, and the name of the new owner. The application must also include the filing fee and must be signed and dated by the current owner. Upon filing, the applicant will be notified of the status of their application.
