Montana Mont. LBF 27. MOTION TO DISMISS [CONVERT]; AND NOTICE [MONT. LB 1017-1(b)] is a motion and notice that is filed in Montana state court in order to convert a case from criminal to civil proceedings. This motion and notice is allowed under Section 27 of the Montana Rules of Civil Procedure and Section 1017-1(b) of the Montana Code Annotated. The purpose of the motion is to dismiss the criminal charges and instead have the case heard in civil court. The motion must include a detailed explanation of the reasons for the request and must be accompanied by a notice informing the other parties that the motion is being made.
