The Minnesota Certificate of Representation (#CRM703)(statewide) is a document issued by the Minnesota Secretary of State that must be on file for any foreign or domestic business entity that wishes to transact business in Minnesota. This document is required for all business entities, including corporations, LCS, LPs and Laps, before they are allowed to conduct business activities in the state. The Certificate of Representation must be signed by the entity's registered agent, and must be filed with the Minnesota Secretary of State. There are two types of Minnesota Certificate of Representation (#CRM703)(statewide): (1) the Initial Certificate of Representation, which is used for new business entities registering in the state, and (2) the Renewal Certificate of Representation, which is used to renew the entity's registration every two years. Both certificates must be signed by the entity's registered agent and filed with the Minnesota Secretary of State.
