Michigan Corporate Reinstatement Name is the process of restoring a corporation’s legal status in the state of Michigan after it has been involuntarily dissolved. This process is required when a corporation has been involuntarily dissolved by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs due to failure to file annual reports, pay taxes, or maintain a valid registered office. A corporate reinstatement name is the name used to reinstate the corporation and must contain the words "corporation" or "incorporated" and must be distinguishable from all other corporate names already on file with the Department. There are two types of Michigan Corporate Reinstatement Name: Standard Reinstatement Name and Limited Liability Company (LLC) Reinstatement Name.
