The Maryland Moorish American Society is a religious and cultural organization that exists to support the growth and development of the Moorish American community in Maryland. The Society promotes the study of the ancient Moorish Science and its teachings, as well as the practice of Moorish American customs and traditions. It also seeks to preserve the Moorish American identity, culture, and history. The Society has three branches: the National Grand Lodge, the Grand Lodge of Maryland, and the Temple of the Moorish Science Temple of America. Each branch offers its own unique services, which include religious services, educational programs, and community outreach and development initiatives. The Society also hosts events such as seminars, workshops, and other gatherings to further the knowledge and understanding of the Moorish American community.
