Massachusetts Pro Se Prisoner Litigation Consent-Refusal of Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction is a form of legal agreement that is used when a prisoner in the state of Massachusetts is filing a civil claim against the state or any other government entities. This form allows the prisoner to either accept or refuse the jurisdiction of the magistrate judge's court in the case. The two types of consent-refusal forms are: 1) Consent to Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction and 2) Refusal of Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction. The Consent to Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction form allows the prisoner to voluntarily agree to the magistrate judge's jurisdiction in the case. The Refusal of Magistrate Judge Jurisdiction form allows the prisoner to reject the jurisdiction of the magistrate judge. The prisoner must sign and date the form before it is filed with the court.
