An Illinois Summons Civil No Contact Order is a legal order issued by a court that requires an individual to have no contact with another person. It is issued in civil cases, such as family law, civil torts, and landlord-tenant disputes. There are two types of Illinois Summons Civil No Contact Order: a Temporary Order and a Permanent Order. A Temporary Order is issued when an individual has been accused of harassment or a threat of harm to another person and must be in effect until the court hears the case. A Permanent Order is issued when the court finds a person to be a threat to another person and the order is intended to be in effect for a longer period of time.
