Illinois Petite Jurors are citizens of the state of Illinois who are randomly selected to serve on a jury in a criminal trial. Petite's jurors are responsible for determining the facts of the case, listening to the evidence presented, and then deciding whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty. There are two types of Illinois Petite Jurors: grand jurors and trial jurors. Grand jurors are responsible for hearing evidence presented by the prosecution and deciding whether an indictment should be issued. Trial jurors are responsible for hearing all the evidence presented during the trial and then determining the verdict.
